Access to Kamalame Cay:

The flight is approximately 1 hour from Fort Lauderdale. From Fresh Creek Andros, the drive is approximately 20 minutes followed by a 2 minute ferry ride on Kamalame's private ferry service.

Direct helicopter and seaplane service is also available from Nassau to the cay at an affordable rate.

Kamalame has a marina for direct access by boat.

Boating & Island Outings

The marina offers several boats and captains to guide you through the area's world-class dive, fishing, snorkeling, and reef sites or tour you out to surrounding islets for picnics and sunbathing. For more information, please see the Front Desk at Pineapple House.

Kayaking

Explore the spoonbill, ibis, and heron scattered mangroves by one or two person kayak. Bring along snorkeling gear and discover the maze-like underwater mangrove roots-a haven for rays, snappers, sergeant majors, puffer fish, and bonefish.

Captain Bill's Blue Hole

Wrapped by the National Pine Forest of Andros just 30-minutes drive from Kamalame, this inland freshwater blue hole spans 400 feet and, edged by a small gazebo, is perfect for picnics.

Kamalame Nature Walk

Beautiful shells, deserted beaches, lush foliage, wild mangroves, the ideal time to trek the island's untouched north shore is at low tide. Picnic lunches and guided tours are available on request.

South Andros Tour

A tour of mainland Andros craftsmen, Androsia textiles, blue holes, and more. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a bathing suit as well as shopping money.

North Andros Tour

Red Bays is home to the finest basket weaving, woodcarving, and sea sponge harvesting on Andros. Money Point tidal flats offer premium invertebrates with millions of creatures roaming under the rocks. Then the choice is yours: snorkel the ocean reef or take a fresh water dip in an inland blue hole.

Bone Fishing

Andros is home to some of the world's best bone fishing flats and guides. Kamalame arranges expeditions (two guests per boat) for pro anglers and novices alike, along with fly-fishing lessons. Trips are arranged at full and half-day rates. Farther flung area highlights include Joulter Cays (40 minute car and 10 minute boat ride).

Off-shore Fishing
